1. Exfoliate

Dry skin can stretch out your lips, leaving them flat and cracked. Plump them up naturally with a lip exfoliator! You can do this by one of two ways: If you’re looking to remove dead skin cells before applying lip color, wet a toothbrush and gently brush your lips in a small, circular motion. If you’re going to leave your lips au naturale, make your own lip scrub with a tablespoon of brown sugar and just enough honey to make it stick together. This will remove the dry skin and leave them more moisturized.

2. Paint Your Lips Size Like an Artist

There are several ways you can artistically craft your lips to the size you want. First, pat a light layer of concealer onto your lips, spreading it a little over your lip line. Doing this will make your lipstick go on closer to the color in the tube and make your lips look larger. Secondly, you can overdraw your lip line similar to that of Miss Kylie Jenner. Use a lip liner that matches your lipstick and trace just slightly outside your natural lip line (don’t go overboard!). Fill your lips in with lipstick, or just use the liner for your whole pout.

3. Outline Your Lips With Concealer

If you want to make your lips pop just a bit more, make sure you line the outside of your already painted on lips with some concealer. Take a skinny brush and slowly “paint” some cover-up to line the outside of your lips. This will create a bit of dimension around your lined lips and make them look more pouty.

4. Place a Dab of Lip Gloss at the Center of Your Lips

Placing that extra shiny lip gloss gives the illusion that your lips are full and extra three-dimensional. You can use a clear lip gloss or a shade close to your lipstick color and apply a dab of gloss onto the middle of both of your lips.

5. Avoid a Dark Lip Shade

Red and plum lips may be very wintery, but don’t help make your lips look larger. Something about the dark shade makes your lips look a tad flat. Nude lip shades are incredibly trendy and make your lips look much more plump.

6. Use Two Nude Colors

Speaking of nudes, using two nude shades help to create the illusion of a fuller lip (much like the lip gloss hack). All you need to do it apply one shade all over your mouth. Then, take the lighter color or a white lip crayon and apply to the very middle of your lips. Apply where needed, you can place on one lip if your other lip is fuller than another. This will help even them out in size.
