The “Pink Eye” Makeup Trend is Taking Over

And it's totally chic, not at all sickly

As long as you pick the right shade, contrary to popular belief pink shadow can wake you up rather than make you look sickly. Speaking to POPSUGAR, Director of Makeup Artistry at Glamsquad Kelli J. Bartlett says, “A playful and pretty pop of pink shadow can work to instantly brighten your look.

“Rich raspberries look amazing on deeper tones, while light blush can look gorgeous on fair skin,” Bartlett adds. She suggests experimenting with a shade of blush you already own if you’re not ready to commit to a pink shadow palette.

Bartlett also believes that the “pink eye” trend looks modern and fresh when paired with loads of dark lashes and not a lot else. “This trend looks best when paired with minimal makeup,” she explains. A matching blush on your cheeks will give you that cold weather, all-over flushed look that’s so in right now.
