Prom 2017 Looks That Are More Lit Than The Dance Floor

No crown necessary, just your outfit FTW

Sometimes, Prom is a missed fashion opportunity.  Instead of wearing the dopest ‘fit we could possibly put together, we dress up for one night, and look totally unlike ourselves (and pretty much like everyone else) in awkwardly fitting gowns and tuxedos. We take a few selfies, and #repost the memories all summer long, until college starts and we move on to dorm rooms and foam parties.

How about for prom 2k17, you wear what you want, how you want, so that in 15 years those photos still make you double-tap, instead of cringe and delete? What if prom was a night where you got to celebrate not only the huge accomplishment of finishing high school, but who you’ve become as a person too, on the inside and the outside? We’re all for that here at ATV, so we rounded up some of your favorite squad members and styled them in some sick gear that may not be traditional, but is definitely way more fun. Let loose, and set it all free.

Who says you can’t wear jeans to prom? Actually, maybe your school dress code does, but if you wear them under your gown like our girl Griffin here, no one needs to know.

It’s the biggest night of your life so far – be like Lucas and leave the black and white at home in favor of something more memorable.

Prom 2017 Looks That Are More Lit Than The Dance Floor: Suit

Suit: Indochino. Shirt: Indochino. Bow Tie: Tommy Hilfiger. Socks: Perry Ellis. Shoes: Cesare Paciotti.

Nothing against ballgowns tho’ – if they are really your thing, you should rock one as hard as possible.  If anyone knows how to it’s Shany Monroy. And, we aren’t mad at a floral Gucci-inspired print either, just saying.

Dress: Jovani. Belt: Lovestrength.

Shoes always make the outfit, so why not stand out in a pair that reflects your personal style?  The options are endless – velvet, embroidery, mules, heels, boots. Whether you do like Erika in vampy black and a statement boot, or go all out like Lucas and wear burgundy velvet, the very least you can do for yourself on prom night is keep your shoe game and comfort level on point.

On Erika – Dress: Rebecca Vallance “Orlando” gown. Shoes: Dr. Martens “Vonda”. On Lucas – Jacket: ASOS. Shirt: Adamist. Tie: Louis Vuitton. Pants: Calvin Klein. Shoes: ASOS. Crown: Jennifer Behr.

TBH, pink is not a new color trend, it’s just one that isn’t going anywhere. Everyone (literally, every designer) is thinking pink for spring, and you should too. Zac is smooth AF in his pink suit, (probably in part because that’s just him), but if you’re feeling it inside, we promise a pink suit is for you too.

Suit: ASOS. Shirt: Adamist. Shoes: Cesare Paciotti. Socks: Ralph Lauren.

We can’t say this enough – jumpsuits are a girl’s best friend. Outside of wearing an actual suit (which we would also totally be in favor of), it’s the chicest way for girls to wear pants to prom. Even quinceañera queen Airam can’t help but give some serious face in this look.  #Werk

Prom 2017 Looks That Are More Lit Than The Dance Floor: Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit: Rent The Runway exclusive. Jacket: ASOS. Choker: Sarah Magid “Prism”.

No princess gown here, just Erika serving slayage in those fishnet pumps and cutout shoulders. Happy prom!
