THIS Is Officially the Color of the Summer

Awesomeness continues after advertisement

In case you hadn’t already noticed, Summer 2017 has an official color and that color is (drumroll please…) yellow.

As Grazia notes, the color has been all over the runways (Coach, Jason Wu, and Topshop have all shown yellow recently) and in the closets of some of our favorite fashion-forward icons, like:

If you’re worried you can’t wear yellow, pause, take a deep breath, and prepare to shine like the sun—because the truth is, everyone can wear yellow. All you need to know is which shade works best for your skin tone.

The geniuses over at AOL even put together a handy guide to picking your perfect shade of yellow—and here’s a quick breakdown.

  • If you have light or fair skin: Look for darker shades of yellow—mustard will look amazing on you. Be wary of light pastel yellows that might wash you out.
  • If you have medium to olive skin: Bright and vibrant yellows will look best on you and completely make you shine.
  • If you have tan to dark skin: Good news: You have a complexion that’s made for yellow ensembles and pretty much any shade will look amazing on you.

Are you rocking yellow this summer?
