It’s festival time again, and this year we threw a little grit on top of the usual boho looks we’re used to seeing. After all, music is the universal language, and with so many genres to choose from, we would be remiss if we left hip-hop and rock ‘n’ roll out of our music festival outfit equation. The result is a bit less Joplin, a bit more Beyonce, and totally 2017.

A neon-printed bodysuit adds a pop-star twist to a traditionally bohemian lace maxi skirt. A little Burning Man inspo from the warrior-princess hair and accessories, and we’ve pretty much covered all our festival bases.
If Jimi (as in, Hendrix) and Jenny (From The Block, we mean) had our dream baby, this is what we imagine she would wear to Coachella. Or like, anywhere really.

Cold night in the desert? No problem. Don’t leave La Quinta without your luxe fringe sweater or you’ll regret it, just sayin’.
Pearl embellished denim shorts are totes ladylike. Same with white boots – just make sure they are fresh-to-death Tims that can withstand the dust and grime. This is how hip-hop meets the desert.
At the end of the (hot, dusty) day, its about the music and the memories – and there’s no better accessory than your favorite squad members.
