We all have those moments when we begin to lose our sanity due to a wide variety of reasons such as work, school, drama, and ugh, boys! No matter what it may be, you don’t deserve to suffer from all that stress. Here are some ways to deal with it:

1. Talk it out
Probably one of the best ways to deal with all the shenanigans bottled up in your head is to talk it out with a friend. Releasing your stress in the form of talking can really help because sometimes as you are talking, things can be put into perspective and you realize possible solutions to some of your problems. Also, sharing your thoughts with another person allows them to give you a little feedback from their point of view, and sometimes you find out that they’ve walked in your shoes before.

2. Sweat it out
Sometimes exercise is the answer even though you’d rather be in bed. Because of the stress, your mind and body tend to feel down, so the best way to wake it up is to go on a run or just even blast your fave Beyoncé songs and dance like crazy in your room. Trust me, you’ll feel a lot better and your sanity will thank you.
3. Cleanse it out
Girl, remember to treat yo self! You’ve been dealing with a lot and probably forgot about taking good care of yourself. Before going to bed, take an extra long time with your nightly routine. Treat your mind and body to an at-home spa night, take a bubble bath, put a facial mask on, and just relax. Instead of exercising the body, sometimes all it really needs is to be pampered and calmed down.
4. Shop it out
Whoever said retail therapy doesn’t work has no idea what they’re talking about. Take this time to spoil yourself a little because you deserve it! We’re not saying to cash out your entire back account, but to perhaps finally buy those pairs of black studded booties you’ve been obsessing over all month. Again, it’s all about treating the mind and body one step at a time, and just overall focusing on your happiness instead of letting that pesky stress bug get to you.
5. List it out
It’s similar to talking it out except you’re just writing. List down the things that have been bothering you and try to come up with ways you can best deal with them. You can also try prioritizing, so dealing with the things that you think are most important. If you’re piled up with school assignments, list them out from either most difficult to easiest, or vice versa, whatever makes you feel most comfortable. After that, take one assignment at a time. It feels better to take your time rather than rushing because that’s when the stress kicks in.
So whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed or having a rainy day, eat some chocolate and remember these helpful tips (and do not pull out your hair)!
