Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron (High School Musical)
Awesomeness continues after advertisement
The two played Troy and Gabriella in High School Musical and apparently it really was the start of something new. Zanessa was every girls dream back in the day (basically my entire adoslescent lifetime.) Sadly, after 5 years though, the pair called it off saying that they had just gradually grown apart. Good thing the three movies finished filming before!

Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill)
Couple goals. With the chemistry they had in One Tree Hill, how could they not take it offscreen?? Not only did the costars of One Tree Hill date IRL, but they were even married for a full five months! Unfortunately, after that they split, but still had to work with each other for the next three years. That had to have been a rough time.
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries)
This one can be summed up in two words: Power. Couple. Nian took a LONG time to publicly confirm the relationship, but there was clearly a spark from the beginning. Too bad it officially barely lasted a year. They just worked so well it was almost ~supernatural~.
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl)
Dan and Serena were just to good to quit when the cameras stopped rolling. Blake and Penn actually began their relationship off-screen just before their characters in 2007. Soon after, Penn famously dished that Blake was his “best” on-screen kiss. After three years, their characters were back together, but the couple called it off leading to Penn calling Blake his “worst” on-screen kiss. Awkward
Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl)
Hey there Upper East Siders, do we have news for you. Rumor has it that Blair Waldorf’s new boy toy is…Carter Baizen?? Even though Blair would never think to stoop to Carter’s level, the couple dated off screen for a full two years before calling it quits in 2010. Xoxo, Gossip Girl.
Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr
This was one of the couples that just shouldn’t have happened on Gossip Girl, but doesn’t mean its not meant to be IRL! Definitely the lesser known of the many known off-screen Gossip Girl couples, but it happened nonetheless. At about the same time that Chuck and Vanessa realized the mutual benefit in their alliance, the pair began dating in real life (around 2008). In 2010, the couple split and (coincidently?) Jessica’s character left Gossip Girl soon thereafter.
Anna Camp and Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect)
These two newlyweds met on the set of Pitch Perfect as you might have guessed. Despite Jesse’s (Skylar Astin) on-screen relationship with Beca, he says that IRL he was in love with Anna Camp from day one. Soon after divorcing her husband, Anna started dating Sylar while the two filmed Pitch Perfect. Now here we are, three years later and the pair has been married for just over one month! Can anyone say Aca-dorable??
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling (The Notebook)
Whew. You’re lying if you say this one doesn’t hit ya right in the feels every time. Arguably one of the best romantic movies of modern times, it’s just fitting that one of the most idealized couples ever found a connection in the real world too. I mean, who could forget the moment back in 2005 when the pair won the Best Kiss Award at the MTV Movie Awards. You’d be lying if you say you weren’t shipping that.
Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum (Step Up)
Somewhere in between She’s the Man and Magic Mike, Channing Tatum showcased not only his looks, but his crazy dancing abilities in the Step Up series. It was fate that his co-star would be equally as talented and gorgeous. They began dating in 2006 during filming and were married three years later in Malibu. Rumor has it that the Step Up series is far from over and thankfully it seems that Channing and Jenna are too.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (Twilight)
Was there ever really a question of Team Edward vs Team Jacob? Yeah def not. By the end of 2009, after promoting their film all over the world (and after Kristen broke up with her then boyfriend) there was no question about the couple status of these two. Clearly the enormous Twilight fan base couldn’t get enough of them, so they went on to do great things together, like winning the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss two years in a row.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively (The Green Lantern)
Yeah Blake Lively is on the list twice, but I doubt that anyone is complaining. By far one of the most good-looking couples there has ever been and my personal favorite on the list. Blake and Ryan met on the set of The Green Lantern where they quickly fell in love and later got married. The terrific trio (Blake, Ryan and their daughter James) is about to become the fab four cause *get hype* there’s another baby on the way!!
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (Spiderman)
TBH, really just went to the movie to see the adorable romance between Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. Rumors first surfaced that the two were a thing in June 2011. This was after the movie had wrapped, seeing as they were both seeing other people while filming. Sadly, they broke-up in 2015. Emma revealed just the other day to Vogue that she still has feelings for Andrew. Is it too late now to say sorry?? I sure hope not.
Josh Dallas and Jennifer Goodwin (Once Upon A Time)
Unless you’re a huge Once Upon a Time fan you might not realize this, but it was too good of a story not to share. Basically, Josh Dallas and Jennifer Goodwin met on set in 2011 and began dating a bit later in 2012. Now the couple is happily married and just welcomed their second boy, Oliver! But thats not the best part!! In Once Upon a Time, they play Prince Charming and Snow White, so yeah, Snow White and Prince Charming fell in love both on and off the show. I guess you could call that method acting to the next degree!! Talk about a fairytale ending.
