Great news, guys. Not only was the live-action remake of Beauty and The Beast amazing, it also scored big at the box-office; it currently has brought in over a record-breaking $700 million worldwide.

With those numbers, Disney isn’t slowing down with the live-action remakes. Luckily for us, they’ve created a fail-proof formula, and they’re sticking to it; 9 remakes are already in the works and most already have big time talent attached. So let’s jump right in. Here are all the live-action Disney remakes that will be hitting the theaters along with all the deets we have on them.

Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes and King Arthur) will be directing the live-action version of Aladdin. Production will begin this summer, and they’ve already held an open casting for Middle Eastern actors (good job Disney!) While we’re super excited for this retelling, we’ll definitely be missing Robin Williams as Genie.
You’re gonna need to sit down for this one. Guess who’s been tapped to play Cruella? EMMA STONE! This live-action version won’t be the same plot as 101 Dalmations but will live in the same world and focus on our favorite Dinsey villain, Cruella.
To be honest, we didn’t see this one coming, but it’s true: a live-action version of Dumbo will be happening. The one and only Tim Burton will be directing the film. Will Smith and Chris Pine were both once attached to the film but have since dropped out. The only official casting is Eva Green (a Tim Burton staple), who will be playing the lead French trapeze artist.
You probably already knew about this one. After Jungle Book‘s live-action success, the fan favorite Lion King was bound to be made. John Favreau wowed us with his CGI skills as the director of The Jungle Book which is most likely why he’ll be directing The Lion King retelling. Donald Glover will voice Simba, while James Earl Jones will reprise the role of Mustafa. And, drum roll…Beyonce is rumored to voice Nala.
There have been a lot of Little Mermaid adaptations floating around Hollywood lately; this, however, is the official Disney live-action retelling. The film will feature a CGI lobster and songs written by Lin Manuel-Miranda.
Mark your calendars. The live-action remake is slated for November 2, 2018. Disney also announced that it will feature an all-Asian cast. The film will be directed by Niki Caro (Whale Rider). No decision has been made on whether or not there will be music, but if “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” isn’t in it, I’m walking out.
7. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
While Snow White and the Huntsman successfully reimagined the Snow White world, another retelling is in the works. There’s little information about this new Disney version, but we know two things: screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson (Girl on the Train) is attached and the men who wrote lyrics for La La Land will be working their magic again.
Our favorite fairy is getting her very own movie! Reese Witherspoon is currently attached to play Tink. That’s all we know, but that’s good enough for us! Perfect casting.
10. Winnie the Pooh
Alex Ross Perry will be directing the Winnie the Pooh retelling. This film will center on an all grown-up Christopher Robin.
