If you’re getting ready for your next movie night with your gal pals (and your guy friends!), we have the perfect list of films just for you. They’re fun, inspiring, and bring out some major girl power!

1. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is one of the highest grossing films out in theaters right now, and we can totally see why. We love that Wonder Woman celebrates a female superhero and we think Gal Gadot was perfectly casted to play this strong, incredible, bad*ss character.

2. Legally Blonde

One classic movie that everyone needs to see at least once is Legally Blonde. Elle Woods, played by the one and only Reese Witherspoon, proves that she has both beauty and brains in this hilarious film that shows just how powerful female friendships and believing in yourself can be.

3. The Hunger Games

May the odds be ever in your favor! Katniss Everdeen is one admirable and heroic character. She volunteered herself as tribute to save her sister from being in the Hunger Games and she went above and beyond to save District 12. Whenever we think of strong, female, movie characters, we right away think of Katniss Everdeen.

4. Before I Fall

Before I Fall is one movie that we can’t stop watching over and over again. It stars some of our favorite people including Zoey Deutch and Kian Lawley, it has a fascinating storyline, and it emphasizes the importance of friendship. The film was directed by a female director – the talented, Ry Russo-Young – and it’s definitely one of our faves!

5. Frozen

Frozen continues to be one of our faves, and we love the central theme that you don’t need a prince to save the day. Instead, it’s the power of sisterhood! Anna and Elsa are totally #SisterGoals in this film and we love all the wonderful messages this Disney classic brings out. It’s no wonder why people of all ages love watching Frozen.

6. Mulan

Another amazing Disney movie that celebrates female empowerment is Mulan. In the film, Mulan dresses up as a guy in order to take her father’s place in the Chinese military. This outstanding film shows that girls can achieve anything they put their minds to, despite those that tell them they can’t.

7. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

We all have friends that we know we can count on. In the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, four best friends share a pair of jeans for a period of time as they document their fun, summer adventures – proving just how strong female friendships can be even when apart.
