SO MANY QUESTIONS to think about, which is why the last thing you should be stressing about is what questions to ask them. That’s where we come in.

Asking questions — the right questions — can literally be a first date life saver. Not only will it make your date feel comfortable and help them loosen up a bit, it will make them feel special and listened to, which releases all sorts of happy chemicals that will make them associate you with something they really really like.

The number one thing I left with, was that you can totally ask the wrong questions, bringing a conversation to a complete halt. So before we jump into some great questions to ask, remember this tip when it comes to the questions you’ll want to avoid. Broad questions like “How was your day?”, “What’s your favorite movie?” or “What do you do?” actually just freeze people’s brains. So get more specific. Isn’t it more fun when someone asks you “What’s the movie you always watched as a child” as opposed to “What’s your favorite movie?” With the latter, your brain kind of freaks out and you end up not remember a single name of a movie you like. So remember: stay specific with your questions.
