1. Hang Your Laundry Bag on the Back of Your Bedroom Door

This is probably the easiest (and first) thing to do. It’s so easy to toss off your clothes on the floor or on the bed in an effort to save time. And while you mean well, it just makes your room look like a disaster. Try hanging a flexible laundry bag on the back of your door instead of the closet or corner so you can save time!

2. Use Vintage Suitcases as a Nightstand

Are you a travel junkie? Or love the shabby chic look? Maybe you’re neither and just need some extra storage. Use some beautiful, old suitcases as a nightstand to create a wanderlust look in your room. It provides a theme and gives you so much more storage space.

3. Create a Bookshelf With Old Dresser Drawers or Boxes

If your book collection is getting out of hand, a regular bookshelf isn’t gonna do it for you. Think like Tetris and use old boxes to stack along your wall as you please. You can hang as many as you want to feed your bilbio addiction!

4. Stack Mason Jars For Your Writing Tools

If you’re like me, you always lose your pens. Even without leaving your bedroom, you somehow misplace them. But an affordable and trendy way to keep track of all your writing tools is to stack mason jars on your desk. This way, you’ll never lose a pen again (or at least less frequently)!

5. Use a Cork Wall For Your Jewelry

Are your earrings constantly getting lost? Is your necklace a tangled up mess? Rather than leaving it on your dresser (or worse, the bathroom counter), try using a cork wall to hang your jewelry. It’s cost effective and will keep your jewelry organized. Plus, you can use any frame that will match your bedroom decor.

6. Use Binder Clips to Keep Clean Cords

Instead of spending 5 minutes everyday untangling cords, try using binder clips to keep them organized. Another affordable and effective way to get you straight to work instead of wasting time.

7. Take a Tackle Box and Transform It Into Your Makeup Kit

Fishing tackle boxes are an awesome way to store your makeup or other small trinkets. With so many compartments and a handle that lets you take it anywhere, you’ll never have to worry about losing your favorite eyeshadow again.

8. Use Baking Soda For Everything

Baking soda is one of the most powerful, natural cleaners around. Use it to remove oil stains from your carpet, clean your sofa or chair or clean the bathroom tiles. It’s seriously a miracle cleaner.

9. Make Your Own Air Freshener

Why not try making your own air freshener? It’s healthier, cheaper and will keep your home smelling fresh! Simply mix ¾ cup water, 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol, 5 drops of lavender essential oil, 5 drops of lemon essential oil and 5 drops of rosemary essential oil. Put in a spray bottle and enjoy!
