If Zayn Could Do It All Over, He Might Not Have Auditioned That Year For The X Factor

In an honest interview with The Evening Standard, Zayn Malik gave advice to his 17-year-old self (the age he was when he auditioned for The X Factor).

“Do your research and be a bit more prepared about certain situations before you make a decision,” Zayn said. ‘”But I probably wouldn’t have [signed] — I would’ve waited a couple more extra years. Just so I had that time to just get my head around being a famous person….If I could go back, I’d have a few more years of anonymity”.

Zayn also revealed that he didn’t actually write the statement that was released when it was announced he was leaving One Direction. “I’m not a 35-year-old lawyer. I don’t write like that,” Zayn said of the statement.
