According to Just Jared, Ed Sheeran revealed that Taylor Swift goes to great lengths to make sure her music is never leaked. And we mean GREAT lengths. It turns out Taylor never digitally sends new music. If a song needs to make it to someone without her being present, she’ll literally hire someone to fly and carry the music in a briefcase to its intended destination. Casual, T-Swift.

“I remember when I did a song with her for her album, I was in San Francisco, and they sent someone with a locked briefcase with an iPad and one song on it, and they flew to San Francisco and played the song I’ve done with her,” Ed shared. “And they asked if I like it and I was like, ‘Yeah,’ and then they took it back, that’s how I hear it.”

This doesn’t come as a shock to us considering a. We’ve NEVER heard a leaked song from her and b. last year, she opened up to Vanity Fair about being completely paranoid about being secretly recorded.

“Don’t even get me started on wiretaps,” she told Vanity Fair. “It’s not a good thing for me to talk about socially. I freak out.”

On a less paranoid note, Ed also shared something the two have in common: being unpopular in school.

Ed explained, “There’s an underdog element to it. Taylor was never the popular kid in school. I was never the popular kid in school. Then you get to the point when you become the most popular kid in school—and we both take it a bit too far.”

Popular or not, we adore these two and can’t wait for new music from both of them.
