Gigi Hadid is facing a lawsuit over a picture she posted on Instagram, Teen Vogue reports. No, the picture isn’t offensive or scandalous — but it does violate copyright. That’s right, Gigi posted a picture that she just wasn’t allowed to share. The weirdest part? It’s a picture of her.
Here’s the photo in question:

The picture shows Gigi in a jacket that says “Hadidas,” which is obviously a play on “Adidas.” The shoe company isn’t the one taking issue with the picture though — it’s photographer Peter Cepeda, who took the photo.
Cepeda says Gigi used the image without permission (he licensed it to TMZ and The Daily Mail, but not to Gigi). Even though Gigi is in the picture, the copyright on it still belongs to the photographer, who says it was a particularly difficult shot to get, which is why he’s so determined to be paid for its use.
Gigi hasn’t deleted the image from Instagram or Twitter, but the suit hasn’t officially been brought to court yet. We’ll have to see how she reacts to actual legal action if it comes to that.
