If you felt more “OMG WTF” than “now, I finally have closure” at the end of Netflix‘s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, then you’re not alone. We learned at the very, very end of the last episode of A Year in the Life that Rory was pregnant. That’s it. That’s how the show ended. No hint as to what she planned to do about the pregnancy or with her life in general beyond writing a book about her and Lorelai’s life together.
This left many, many fans itching for even more Gilmore Girls and it’s starting to seem like we might (emphasis on might) just get our wish.
According to Cosmopolitan UK, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos recently told the Press Association that more episodes could be in our future.
“We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped,” he said. “The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
The talks about more episodes are reportedly “very preliminary,” but we’ll take it.
