After One Direction‘s heartbreaking hiatus announcement, Harry dove right into the process of creating his debut solo album. Around the same time he ended up getting cast in Christopher Nolan’s war movie “Dunkirk” and once he got to the set of the film he was fully immersed in working on his acting debut.

Harry shockingly admitted that he didn’t listen to or create any music while he was working on “Dunkirk” – WHAT? Not even on his off days or in between takes? Very hard to believe.
“I had been writing not very long at all and the movie thing happened and I just stopped,” Harry revealed in an interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, “For five months I took a complete break. It was a bit weird.”
With the film being very intense, Harry used his off time to take a well-deserved break. But he wasn’t watching movies or going to yoga, he was catching up on sleep.
“I was just asleep if I wasn’t filming. I was asleep most of the time, I liked it,” he added.
As his debut album Harry Styles has shown, the five month music break did not effect his creativity or song writing skills. If anything it probably gave him time to reflect and get inspired to produce incredible ballads and head-banging jams like “Sign of the Times” and “Kiwi.”
