“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts,” his rep shared in a statement. “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”
The tour, which was slated to run until October 7, had over a dozen remaining stops across the U.S. and Asia. Bieber has been enjoying a break from the grind during the month of July – having not performed since his 154th show on July 2 in London. He wasn’t set to resume the tour until July 29, in Arlington, Texas.

And this isn’t the first time the 23-year-old has let down his fans on this most recent world tour.
Shortly after the tour kicked off in spring 2016, Bieber devastated fans by cancelling all meet-and-greets before his performance. At the time he said he found the experience to be “mentally and emotionally” exhausting to “the point of depression.”
We are sure it is tiring. But fans had been shelling out $2,000 for the opportunity to meet their idol, but Bieber said it was too tiresome to meet his fans, despite his team claiming the cancelations were due to a “security incident.”
Things got even worse for Beliebers a few months later when the “I’m the One” singer announced he was done taking photos with fans all together. It turns out he had grown weary of this practice as well – and said that from his perspective, fans no longer greeted him with a hello or treated him like a human. He summed it up by stating, “I don’t owe anybody a picture.”
While Bieber has provided explanations (albeit disappointing ones) in the past for his decisions, there is no clear motive this time around. TMZ offered reasoning from a source that claimed the singer is “just over it.” For fans who had been counting the days until Justin’s stop in their hometown, that may be the hardest part to swallow.
Justin has kept quiet on social media today, despite having posted a montage of shirtless photos on Instagram just yesterday.
We’re not sure if Justin will ever reveal the reason for cancelling the rest of his tour dates… we’re just hoping he doesn’t wait until it’s too late to say sorry.
