Laurie Hernandez said, “Transitioning from gymnastics to dancing was pretty difficult, but I liked it.” She also expressed her admiration for ballerinas and their dedication to the dance and said, “I didn’t realize how many different muscles were used when I was dancing compared to just poses in gymnastics, and it’s like your shoulders, your posture, your head, your arms, and your center of weight has to be perfect.”
