It’s been rumored for pretty much freakin’ ever that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber collaborated on a song while the two were still dating way back when. We’ve been waiting since 2009 when the couple first met. 2009, people!!
But it looks like the wait is finally over! A Soundcloud account called DrewLeaks uploaded a song and uh, those voices sound a lot like Sel and the Biebs. The Soundcloud has since been taking down, but luckily someone uploaded to YouTube! Take a listen below.

Okay, that’s definitely Selena’s voice. Plus you’ve got to admit, that voice doing the ad libs in the background sounds identical to Justin’s. Yeah, we can recognize that handsome angel’s voice anywhere.
Now, if you listen to the lyrics, Selena sings, “And just when I’ve fallen down, you pick me up right off the ground. They can’t keep between us two right now.” That’s deep, Sel! She then goes on to sing, “They can’t steal our love,” and according to Elle Magazine, this “they” she’s referring to are the paparazzi! Yeah, so apparently the song is about how the paparazzi and tabloids tried to get in between Selena and the Biebs’ relationship!
So we heard what Selena has to say in the song, but what about Justin? It turns out Justin’s part wasn’t fully written yet but he probably wanted to record a melody to remember later. The song was said to have been recorded back in 2013 or 2014 which was right around the time of the official Jelena breakup. That could explain why the song was never finished and released.
Maybe one day we’ll get a full on collab between the two. I mean, we know they seem to be on pretty good terms since Selena complimented Justin on his Manchester performance. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope for the best!
