Within days, Taylor Swift and Calvin called it off (love is officially dead) then, paparazzi catch Taylor KISSING an older man on a rocky shore. This man was, Tom Hiddleston. Like the shore they once traded sweet kisses on, their relationship, too, would soon turn rocky. But, not before Taylor Swift’s glorious Fourth of July blowout.
Yes, every celebrity was there, yes they had a blowup slide, but the REAL pièce de résistance was Tom Hiddleston’s “I ❤️ T.S.” shirt. The image of him coming out of the ocean with it stuck to his body will forever be burned in our brains. Now, on to the good stuff. Hiddleston recently sat down with GQ, and of course, the conversation turned to T-Swift. “The truth is, it was the Fourth of July and a public holiday and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back. And I wanted to protect the graze from the sun. And one of her friends said, ’I’ve got this.’ The friend pulled out the “I ❤️ T.S.” tank top … And we all laughed about it. It was a joke.”
He also commented on the whispers that their relationship was a publicity stunt:
“Of course it was real,” he said. Claiming they both wanted a normal relationship, he added, “So we decided to go out for dinner, we decided to travel… She’s incredible. [But] a relationship in the limelight… A relationship always takes work. And it’s not just the limelight. It’s everything else.’
Well, there you have it. We can finally put the Taylor and Tom saga to bed and permanently delete that tank top image from our minds.
