The tape is a casting video from Austin, TX where she first auditioned for the role of Alex Russo in the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. The video is filled with little hidden gems. It turns out she already knew as pre-teen that she wanted both a successful acting and singing career: “Like Britney,” she tells the casting director.

And it looks like she got her wish, too. We all know Selena is a pop goddess, but she’s also making a name for herself as an actress. Who remembers the critically acclaimed Spring Breakers from 2012?
If you haven’t seen her amazing supporting role in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016), it’s a must. Selena nails the comedic role, which is no surprise considering she’s had great timing since her days of Dinsey castings.
What can we say? This lost video is proof that Selena’s just a natural born talent, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
