Just like you and me, even some of our favorite celebrities like Black-ish star, Yara Shahidi, have gone through the whole college application process. In a recent interview with W Magazine, Yara Shahidi shared her gratitude over her relationship with Michelle Obama and said, “She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say.” On top of that, Michelle Obama even gave Yara Shahidi a pat on her back and wished her luck on her AP exam. #Goals! According to W Magazine, Yara Shahidi will be pursuing a double major in African American studies and sociology.
Yara Shahidi is truly so admirable in all ways – she’s an exceptional actress (and we can’t wait for her Black-ish spin-off series), an incredible activist who always uses her platform to spread positivity and awareness, and she places a great value on education. We know that any college that Yara Shahidi plans to go to will be very proud to have an amazing student like her studying at the university.
We wish Yara Shahidi the best of luck with her college career and we know that she will do such a fantastic job! Just saying, next time we take an exam, we’re totally going to be wishing we had Michelle Obama wish us luck – that would be the greatest exam motivation!
